With the blessings and guidance of Parvathi Devi.

Menstrual problems can affect women and girls at different stages of life.
With faith and prayer, we have decided to include those facing menstrual-related difficulties in our
Maha Mrityunjaya Mantra Japa Sankalpa.

This is a dedicated prayer seeking the divine grace of
Lord Maha Mrityunjaya and Parvathi Devi
for strength, peace and well-being.

Who Is This Sankalpa For?

This Sankalpa is for
girls and women of all age groups
who are facing menstrual or related difficulties.

The person’s Name, Nakshatra, Rasi and Gotra
are included in the Sankalpa performed during the Maha Mrityunjaya Japa.

🙏 Special Sankalpa for Each Menstrual Problem

These Sankalpa wordings have been specially formulated for this new initiative to clearly express the particular menstrual problem for which the person is seeking divine grace through the Maha Mrityunjaya Japa.

The person’s Name, Gotra, Nakshatra and Rasi, together with the specific problem, are included in the Sankalpa.

Since this is a new and specific application of the Maha Mrityunjaya Japa, the Sankalpa wording may be unfamiliar even to priests. We therefore provide the suggested Sanskrit wording below for each individual problem.

 

1. Irregular Menstrual Cycle

Prayer for regularity and balance of the menstrual cycle.
Sanskrit:
रजश्चक्रस्य अनियमितत्व निवृत्त्यर्थम् ।
रजश्चक्रस्य नियमितत्व प्राप्त्यर्थम् ॥
English Transliteration:
Rajaś-cakrasya aniyamitatva nivṛttyartham,
rajaś-cakrasya niyamitattva prāptyartham.
Meaning:
For relief from irregularity of the menstrual cycle
and for regularity of the menstrual cycle.

2. Irregular Timing of Periods

Prayer for relief from irregular timing of menstruation.
Sanskrit:
रजःप्राप्तेः कालानियमत्व निवृत्त्यर्थम् ।
रजःप्राप्तेः कालनियमत्व प्राप्त्यर्थम् ॥
English Transliteration:
Rajaḥ-prāpteḥ kālāniyamatva nivṛttyartham,
rajaḥ-prāpteḥ kālaniyamatva prāptyartham.
Meaning:
For relief from irregular timing of menstruation
and for regularity in the menstrual cycle.

3. Severe Menstrual Pain

Prayer for relief from severe pain during menstruation.
Sanskrit:
रजःकाले अतीव वेदना निवृत्त्यर्थम् ।
शारीरिक सुखशान्ति प्राप्त्यर्थम् ॥
English Transliteration:
Rajaḥ-kāle atīva vedanā nivṛttyartham,
śārīrika sukha-śānti prāptyartham.
Meaning:
For relief from severe pain during menstruation
and for physical comfort and peace.

4. Heavy Menstrual Bleeding

Prayer for relief from excessive menstrual bleeding.
Sanskrit:
अतिरक्तस्राव निवृत्त्यर्थम् ।
शरीरबल प्राप्त्यर्थम् ॥
English Transliteration:
Ati-rakta-srāva nivṛttyartham,
śarīra-bala prāptyartham.
Meaning:
For relief from excessive menstrual bleeding
and for strength of the body.

5. Missing or Delayed Periods

Prayer concerning absence or delay of menstruation.
Sanskrit:
रजः अप्राप्ति निवृत्त्यर्थम् ।
रजःप्राप्ति नियमसिद्ध्यर्थम् ॥
English Transliteration:
Rajaḥ-aprāpti nivṛttyartham,
rajaḥ-prāpti niyama-siddhyartham.
Meaning:
For relief concerning absence of menstruation
and for regularity of the menstrual cycle.

6. Premenstrual Syndrome (PMS)

Prayer for relief from physical and emotional difficulties
before menstruation.
Sanskrit:
रजःपूर्वकाल शारीरिकमानस पीडा निवृत्त्यर्थम् ।
मानसशान्ति प्राप्त्यर्थम् ॥
English Transliteration:
Rajaḥ-pūrva-kāla śārīrika-mānasa pīḍā nivṛttyartham,

before menstruation.

English Transliteration:
Rajo-nivṛtti-pūrva-kāla sambandhita
śārīrika-mānasa pīḍā nivṛttyartham,
